The number of participants increased year after year as well as the excitement about La Tomatina Festival, in fact, it was declared Festivity of International Tourist Interest in 2002.

La Tomatina Tickets with Bus from Valencia

Buying this ticket you obtain a reservation for a trip to Buñol (Valencia) from Valencia in a package trip.

Departure from Valencia will be on the 27th August 2025 from Av. Pío Baroja, 3, Campanar, in front of BIOPARC (Valencia) 46015 at 6:30 am, 7:00 am, 7:30 am, and 8:30 am.
The return trip will be on the same date 27th August from Buñol (Valencia) at 14:30pm, 15:30 pm and 16:00 pm, by coach.
Departure from Valencia will be on the 27th August 2025 from desde Estacion de AVE JOAQUIN SOROLLA (Valencia) 46007 at 6:30 am, 7:00 am, 7:30 am and 8:30 am.
The return trip will be on the same date 27th August from Buñol (Valencia) at 14:30pm, 15:30 pm and 16:00 pm, by coach.
Schedules may vary depending on punctuality of the attendees and traffic.

This is definitely worth experiencing once, but I would never return. Thousands and thousands of people all trying to get to the center of the street means you end up crammed in like sardines, with no option of leaving, standing in 30+ degrees for 3-4 hours. Make sure to drink plenty of water beforehand or you risk heat stroke, don't bring metallic water bottles because you won't be allowed to bring them in. Once the tomatoes eventually do arrive it is as you'd expect, absolutely chaotic but fun, and like I said, worth experiencing once. Wear goggles, I was getting weird pus coming out of my eyes for 24 hours afterwards. need a bag because you need to change afterwards or you won't be allowed on the bus back to Valencia, if you choose the bus option. There are locals using hoses to shower people and charging between €1-€6 to do so. So what we did was use the dirty clothes to clean ourselves as best as we could, change into our clean clothes on the side of the street, then get on the bus and walk through Valencia with tomatos still caked to our hair and skin. So to sum up, if you go, go prepared, it is with experiencing once, but that's it.

Busses were leaving a bit early on the way back (14:30 to Valencia), we had to get the paella and sangria as well. There was no time to get clean with the water hose. Nonetheless, the overall experience was super!

- The people throwing tomatoes from the vans were NOT squashing before throwing and on occasion were purposefully throwing them really hard - The buses and transport was organised really well but none of the official guides seemed to know what was going on once we arrived - a lot of waiting around for them to figure things out. - A group of girls from Brunol took a disliking to any tourists, became very spiteful even before the tomatoes were released, and then were using the tomato throwing as an opportunity to basically beat tourists. I'm glad I attended La Tomatina as it was on my bucket list of things to do but I would never do it again as certain aspects of the event took the fun out of it.
